I Belong.
Jesus has called me out of my loneliness and separateness. “Come to me,” He said, “I will give you rest.” Now I never have to be alone again. He has promised to never leave me or forsake me. I am part of the family of God. I can experience and enjoy this through companionship and celebration with God’s people.
Big Ideas from the Bible:
If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)
Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5)
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you, now remain in my love. (John 15:9)
And so I am giving a new commandment to you now. Love each other just as much as I love you. Your strong love for each other will prove to the world that you are my disciples. (John 13:34-35)
Talking with God:
Jesus, by faith, I trust that you will never leave me. I welcome you into my life. I thank you for your church and my brothers and sisters, who also love you and serve you.
